Very good high quality head strap. It's worth every penny, it's worth more actually.
If I had 2 Quest 3's I would buy another one of these.
Fits much better on my head and doesn't add pressure to your face like the stock straps. It is true what everybody says, the battery life with the quest 3 gets drained quickly with the better visuals and such. The extra battery life is worth it. Great value.
Real easy to install on the Quest 3, took a few minutes to adjust the strap and dial to where it was comfortable. I played 2.5 hours with a 100% charged headset, and the battery out of the mail lasted the whole play time, I ended 2.5 hours of play with 95% on my headset, seemingly does drain the battery but around 5% per 2 hours played which isnt bad at all IMO, with 1-2 extra batteries you could pretty much play unlimited amount of time with how easy they are to swap out.
Way better deal than the Elite strap, and even more so against the elite strap w/ battery. I havent tried either elite strap for Q3 but had the non battery Elite Strap on my Q2 and this strap was wayyyyyyyy better than the elite strap, the extra battery life is a huge bonus over the comfort alone.
I had gotten one for my quest 2 so of course got one for my quest 3. Makes a world of difference. I do recommend getting at least 3 batteries with it due to quest 3 being such a big battery drain. Two were fine for the quest 2 but definitely not the 3 if you play long hours.
Got this for my husband for his bday, he says it is so comfy he loves it
Very comfortable. Came with a different pad you can swap out. The battery lasts me just over an hour. When the battery is attached the weight dispersion is great. The price makes this a must have over other headstraps with battery's.
This strap is so incredible and it’s a shock that it’s as cheap as it is and it comes with a battery. Compare that to the much less comfortable Elite strap with battery from Meta that’s more than 2.5x the price. This thing is SOOOOOOOOOOO much more comfortable than the default strap, it’s like the difference between lying on a pillow vs face down onto a brick. Also the battery doesn’t seem to charge quite as fast as the Quest 3 can draw power, but it’s close. When the battery dies, I’m usually at like 85+% and it gave me an extra 1.5ish hours. And I have not had any loud whirring sound issues with my battery. This thing is amazing and you should NOT buy a Quest 3 without this strap. It’s a required accessory!
I was worried about getting this because I heard that the headset battery depletes even with this battery on because its output isn’t strong enough to charge the Q3 but they must have fixed this issue as I have no issues at all, it keeps my Q3 charged and I don’t feel the need for extra batteries yet for the amount of time I use the headset. Not only is the battery great, it pops on and detaches so easily, it can also be used as a power bank for my phone if I want to just take it with me anywhere. It also feels 10 times nicer on my head vs the stock strap. I can now adjust and put on my Q3 now. For only $60 it’s a steal and worth every penny, don’t look at any other brands just get this one, you will love it.
I tried the elastic strap that came with the Quest 3 and it was hardly tolerable. But it was still more comfortable than my PSVR2. I bought the Meta elite strap without the battery and it was a big jump in comfort. But prolonged use with that put too much pressure on my forehead. I decided to go for this M3 strap and I have never been more comfortable using a VR headset. This takes all the pressure points away and with the battery it balances out the frontal weight. I can wear this for hours without rising discomfort. And the battery lasts longer than expected. If the Quest 3 is charged 100% this battery will keep it charged until it depletes and then the Quest will start using its own battery. This is superior in every way vs the Meta straps both in cost and comfort. It also seems very well made. Also having multiple pivot points makes this fit a head/face perfectly and is easy to take off/on without adjusting anything.
Since this has the option to play without the facial interface, it wins over all other straps for me.
Comfortable my goodness what a difference. I'm middle ages ( closer 60yrs) and I was able to switch the headset Meta quest 3 came with,to this headset, and did it in 4 minutes and was ready to use.
Volume control easy set. Comfort is outstanding. If you don't want to use padded back head piece, there are 2 straps you can use.
No weight on my head or neck.
Battery pack magnetic strong, literally tugged it into place.
Battery usage for me is about 3 to 5 hrs depending what type game (s) I'm playing.
Well worth investment
I read all the negative reviews AFTER I bought the headset.
My thoughts after a couple days: Extremely Comfortable. love the extra battery life!
Huge change from the original head strap. Uses the lower wattage batteries but I don't have any problems with the Quest 3 (wear it for about 2 hours/day and the Quest 3 battery stays charged. (I use a 65W Anker charger with 140W capable cables to charge the battery while attached to the headset).
I bought the Meta Quest 3 shortly after its release.. This was my first time using VR, and to be honest a great VR world experience
The one thing the the Quest 3 was lacking was a comfortable physical experience wearing the gear.
You have probably heard this before, the supplied head strap is very poor and causes the weight on the Quest 3 to sit on your cheekbones, and after about 15 mins of playtime the pressure becomes almost unbearable. Not good for a brand new device that is supposed to be a top brand... The supplied headgear almost seems like an after thought. Many buyers have either sent the Meta Quest 3 back, especially first timers like me, or put it away in the closet.
So with that being said... yes I have vented my frustration... I did some research, purchased another brands head strap, hmmm a little better, but not much... still a painful experience after 30 mins of play.
I had almost give up until I reviewed and purchased this headstrap.
What an absolute game changer.
Very easy to put together out of the box... and very comfortable. The weight distribution is great and fits snuggly on top of your head. No more face pain.. played over 2hrs of Beat Saber with no issues at all.. Did I say 2 hrs.. yes because this headstrap comes with a battery pack that magneticaly snaps on the back of the headset greatly extending playtime. It has a USB C type connection for charging.
Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.
So if you, the reader, have a Meta Quest 3 that sits idle because it's too uncomfortable to use, get this headstrap... you face and play time will appreciate it.
Ya know I have to say this is the best Head Strap I've tried for my Quest 2. The Elite strap works fine but I was getting tired of my unit being forcibly pushed into my cheek bones. It was uncomfortable and it actually forced my center of vision to be a bit off. The top strap can help with this but it just never worked out comfortably. With a Halo style strap it lets the unit sit equally close but it uses gravity to rest it on your forehead instead of horizontal pressure to squeeze it into your face. Plus the Elite straps are more commonly known as Elite Snaps because of all the reports of them breaking.
