Ya know I have to say this is the best Head Strap I've tried for my Quest 2. The Elite strap works fine but I was getting tired of my unit being forcibly pushed into my cheek bones. It was uncomfortable and it actually forced my center of vision to be a bit off. The top strap can help with this but it just never worked out comfortably. With a Halo style strap it lets the unit sit equally close but it uses gravity to rest it on your forehead instead of horizontal pressure to squeeze it into your face. Plus the Elite straps are more commonly known as Elite Snaps because of all the reports of them breaking.
I am able to play games comfortably with some minor adjustments needed every several minutes for more high intensity games that involve a lot of head movement. The strap also folds up nicely and makes storage easier than the standard strap.
I share my Quest 2 with my wife and we have very different settings when we play. Using the original strap switching was pretty tedious. But with the Halo strap, it's very easy.
The Halo strap, is comfortable. I wear glasses when I play and it doesn't get in the way at all. I also love the PU leather because it's easy to clean when gaming sessions get sweaty. All in all this is a great budget strap. Paired with a good pair of headphones you really can't go wrong compared to more expensive options.
I'd definitely buy halo straps for my future oculus headsets.
This takes a lot of the pressure off my cheeks and eye brows where the basic strap and the elite strap put more of their pressure from squeezing the headset onto your face. Makes the Q2 feel more like my RIft S halo. This took a little bit of adjusting, but that's what the hinges are there for. Then I got it to fit nicely by floating the headset up against my face. It may take a hair off the FOV because it's not pushing into your face as hard, but not enough that I notice.
One nice thing also, was that it came with 2 different pads for the back, the one pictured with the lower extension for the neck, but also the basic one that just fits on the back tightening part, like the other listings for this strap.
Feels like its made sturdy enough to last for a while. Happy with it so far.
Does your face hurt from the original occulus strap? This fixes that by turning the oculus into a hat. If you have ever worn a knob adjustable construction helmet that is what this is like. If you haven’t worn one then think of it as a fancy baseball cap that can be fitted to your head with the twist of a knob in literally two seconds or less.
It completely removes all the facial pressure from your forehead and cheeks and allows more depth if you need to wear glasses.
